My Passion

My passion. What's the definition of the word passion? In my own words, it's a meaning of loving something more than you can imagine. Loving that passion like you love your family like no tomorrow. That's how I feel about playing drums. To some people playing drums or whatever they might do is a hobbie to the. It's more than a hobbie to me. It's a passion. Every since I can remember when I first started off as a young kid, I always wanted to play drums. Everyday after I got home from school, I would put my ear phones on and play to the gospel Cd's. I didn't have a drum set, I had the air. LOL! That's right, I said it. The air. You drummers  out there no about the air. I would crank the ear phones up and just play away as if I was actually playing on a real set. My mom use to yell at me. Not because of I was playing the air but because I had all her CD's in my room and she never could find them. LOL. I was always fasinated with the drummes that I seen play. All I wanted to do was be like them and be the one everyone knew because I had the ability to play drums. But now I don't care who knows me for my ability. I just love to play drums and if noone would stop me and I had the time, I would jam all day. That's how deep my passion is to me. I would love for people to know that because sometimes things get tangled up and people would think you are just doing that to be seen. Not just playing drums but anything. But I really love playing drums and I don't do it to show off.  When I play, I'm in the zone sort to speak and going to work. I take what I do very serious and I don't play around with that. It means alot to me because it was a gift from God. That's I tell myself I don't and I won't play for any other types of music because thats not what God meant for me to do. He gave me that gift to play for him and that's what I am going to continue to do. But don't get me wrong. Sometimes you do have to do a little solo thing here and there. I guess you can say show off but that's only meant for times when it's neccesary. I love solos.
